I am aware of having achieved great results in a sector of ophthalmology and of having written an important chapter that will remain in ophthalmology books, that of TRACTIVE MYOPIC MACULOPATHY.
We are talking about high myopia, i.e. myopia over 7 diopters.
These eyes can develop a condition known as intraction myopic maculopathy, or MTM.
MTM is a disease that remained little understood until I published the new MTM Staging in 2020 which summarizes all the stages in a simple table, with the name, prognosis and treatment of each. Is called

Eyes with high myopia can develop a number of complications. In addition to atrophic maculopathy (wasting macula) and neovascular maculopathy (hemorrhages and subretinal membranes), myopic eyes can develop a condition known as intraction myopic maculopathy (MTM).

For this I am truly known throughout the world.I have also developed a very effective treatment called macular buckle which I have patented.
The Spanish company AJL created the productNPB orNew Parolini Buckle, in production just this year.Even today for MTM all colleagues in the world only use vitrectomy, often resulting in eye blindness.
But more and more colleagues are now interested in sealing having recognized on the one hand the limited effectiveness of vitrectomy alone and the great effectiveness and safety of macular sealing.
I have dedicated my professional life to this topic from 2007 to today.
I am regularly invited around the world to talk about this.
